How many times can you use a mushroom kit?
You could always try for a second or even third flush Some people have reported more than 5 flushes from a single kit! All you have to do is soak your block again to rehydrate it, and then place it back in the fruiting environment.
How long do mushroom grow kits last?
Most mushroom kits will store for 2-3 months if necessary. To store your kit, keep it in the fridge. This puts the mycelium into hibernation and will prevent it escaping the box early.
Do mushroom grow kits keep producing?

It is also possible that substrate can be reused to grow more mushrooms For example, if you have a bunch of spent shiitake blocks, you might be able to break them up, re-sterilize them and reuse the organic material to grow more shiitake!.
Where do you store mushroom kits?
We recommend placing your grow kit on your kitchen bench, out of direct sunlight This will allow you to check on them daily and serve as a reminder to spray your grow kit regularly to keep humidity high. Keep it out of wind or away from heaters which can cause it to dry out.

What do you do with mushroom grow kit after harvest?
After your first harvest, store your grow kit in a cool, dry, and dark place (like your refrigerator!) until you are ready to grow again. When you’re ready, remove your substrate bag from its box, flip the bag over to the unused side and cut an’X’ similar to the first one you cut in the other side of the bag.
Can a mushroom be replanted?
Dig around the mushrooms you are transplanting, raising a large clump of soil with each mushroom. Remove at least 6 inches of dirt from under the mushrooms. Place them in a pan or some other container to move them to the new area.

Expect to grow: 2 harvests of mushrooms / 150g – 300g We’ve had some customers grow up to 4 flushes of mushrooms from our kits but on average you’ll get 2 harvests. Once the kit has run out of nutrients and water it will be “spent” and won’t produce any more mushrooms.
Can you reuse spawn bags?
Although you probably want to start with new bags when making fruiting blocks or propagating spawn bags, you can always reuse your bags for other purposes, as long has you haven’t cut the bag open for fruiting.
